Having pioneered the design of positive-energy office buildings, we continue to innovate. Our Green Office® concept, which combines energy efficiency with well-being for the people who work there, meets a growing demand from employers who want to show their commitment to sustainable development and reduce their overheads. Green Office® buildings guarantee their users a certain level of operating charges: our Aveltys subsidiary offers customers solutions and services to guarantee integrated energy performance from the design stage and throughout the building’s lifetime. Some 15 Green Office® projects have been rolled out to date in the Paris region and elsewhere in France.
A number of Green Office® projects were rolled out in 2016, including:
- Green Office® Enjoy, the largest office building in France to be awarded the BBCA low-carbon building label. Located in the Clichy-Batignolles mixed development zone in Paris, Green Office® Enjoy is a 17,400-m² composite timber and concrete structure. It consists of a ground floor, two concrete storeys resting on spring dampers and five timber storeys. Its innovative design will save 2,900 tonnes of carbon, corresponding to the planting of 1,500 trees. A positive-energy building, Green Office® Enjoy will produce 23.5 kWhFE/m²/year of renewable energy (for consumption of 22.9 kWhFE/m²/year) from 1,700 solar panels and its connection to the zone’s heating network.
- Green Office® Quartz, a positive-energy building with bioclimatic design that will produce renewable energy from a biomass cogeneration plant and solar panels. It is aiming for triple environmental certification – Breeam International 2013 ‘Excellent’, HQE® 2015 Exceptional and Bepos-Effinergie – and will become Colas’ headquarters on handover, scheduled for mid-2018.
- Green Office® en Seine at Meudon. Designed by the architect Bernard Reichen of Reichen et Robert & Associés and acquired by Affine, it consists of two positive-energy office buildings linked by a walkway, each with four floors over an underfloor space. On the Seine side, the glass façade shows elegant shades of white, while on the street side the mineral architecture blends in perfectly with the surrounding residential buildings. 560 m² of solar panels have been installed on the rooftop terrace.
