INNOVATIVE ECOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS
Bouygues' stand (E51) is presenting the solutions of its subsidiaries to the energy and climate issues we face, to both invited visitors and international delegations.
Bouygues Immobilier is showcasing a range of innovative solutions for achieving a sustainable and desirable urban environment:
- Low-carbon construction – turning new buildings into environmentally-friendly profit centres.
An example is Green Office® Rueil, the head office of Unilever France
- Eco-neighbourhoods – which have integrated technical solutions thanks to the partnerships forged by Bouygues with a view to developing sustainable and desirable urban environments.
An example is Fort d’Issy, which three years after handover, has become a smart-city benchmark.
Bouygues Immobilier will also participate on Monday 7 December in a round-table discussion entitled "Managing a positive-energy building: promise kept", focusing on experiences with
Green Office®. Details of the round-table discussion can be found on Bouygues' sustainable development blog: https://www.bouyguesdd.com/.
HIKARI WINS CLIMATE SOLUTIONS AWARDS
As a responsible corporate citizen, Bouygues Immobilier has for many years worked to combat global warming. These efforts have now been recognised by a Trophée Solutions Climat (Climate Solutions award), specifically concerning the Hikari positive-energy mixed-use development in Lyon. The jury, comprised of climate and natural resources experts, awarded Bouygues Immobilier a special prize for large corporations (Coups de coeur Grands groupes) in the "Adaptation" category.
It was presented by Ségolène Royal, France's Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy minister, and Bruno Lechevin, Head of Ademe (the French environment and energy management agency), to François Bertière, Chairman and CEO of Bouygues Immobilier with Olivier Bouygues, Deputy CEO of the Bouygues group, also in attendance.
Hikari, located in Lyon Confluence, is the first positive-energy mixed-use development in France, made possible by bioclimatic architectural design, the on-site production of renewable energy and pooled energy management.
In France, the Climate Solutions awards recognise the best nationwide initiatives for reducing the impact of and/or adapting to the effects of climate change.
