After its first experiments with enhanced reality using Google Cardboard and Oculus Rift glasses, Bouygues Immobilier is continuing to innovate by launching a 360-degree video using the latest YouTube and Kolor video player technologies. It is the first of its kind to be used in the property development business. "Innovation has become essential in order to meet customers' expectations and help them to imagine themselves in their future home or workplace", says Ivan Chiarami, marketing manager at Bouygues Immobilier. "As pioneers of this new way to visit a property, we use virtual reality to fulfil our customers' real expectations!"
Based on the immersion principle, the videos let users explore every nook and cranny of their future home. They can use the navigation arrows to roam the inside or outside of a building so as to get a fuller impression of indoor spaces and the surroundings. Already trialled in connection with a development at Ermont, to the north-west of Paris, this innovative resource gives us a new competitive edge in the marketing of our products.
