On 6 May, Observatoire de la Ville, an organisation sponsored by the Bouygues Immobilier Corporate Foundation, held a breakfast-time conference in connection with its research on the theme of “Mix(cite)” (diversity). Under the auspices of honorary chairman Gérard Collomb (Senator-Mayor of Lyon and Chairman of the Greater Lyon Urban Authority) and with Olivier Brachet (Vice-President of the Greater Lyon Urban Authority responsible for living conditions and social housing) attending, the members of the Observatoire de la Ville Editorial Board were delighted to welcome Bernard Devert, a former property specialist who retrained as a priest. Bernard Devert is the founder of Habitat et Humanisme and, for the past 25 years, has spearheaded actions to improve housing conditions, social cohesion and urban integration.
