Bouygues Immobilier has a strong commitment to innovation and sustainable development and therefore seeks to provide better quality of life over the long term for all its customers by making their experience of the buying process and the use they make of the living spaces and services created for them as pleasant as possible. Bouygues Immobilier is the first developer to be certified ISO 9001 in France, NF Habitat HQE, and Top Employer France 2017, and to win the 2016 prize for the best customer relations awarded by the French Customer Relations Association (AFRC).
On 12 March 2012, François Bertière, Chairman and CEO of Bouygues Immobilier and Maryse Joissains-Masini, Mayor of Aix-en-Provence, inaugurated the Vert Eden residence in Aix-en-Provence.
Located to the west of the town centre in a 5,000 m2 landscaped setting in the much sought-after district of Saint-Mitre, the two-storey development comprises 36 one-to three- room apartments and 72 parking spaces, including 28 underground spaces.
Designed by the local architect firm AT2A, this residential programme has the BBC-effinergie® label via the NF Logement housing certification scheme by Cerqual and is the result of technical and bioclimatic architectural choices which make it the first positive-energy residential property programme in south-east France.
Vert Eden is a perfect example of the residence of the future, which produces more energy than it consumes. The development won two Pyramides d’Argent awards in 2011 from the French Property Developers Federation:
- The innovation award (GiP — Groupement industrie Promotion),
- The sustainable development and natural gas award (GrDF).
The photovoltaic solar panels incorporated into the roof provide enough energy to supply hot domestic water and electricity, resulting in a positive energy balance of –7kWhpe/m2/year, or four times less than that of a conventional building. As a result, the building will still have a positive-energy balance in ten years' time.
The development offers indoor and outdoor spaces focused on comfort and a relaxed living environment all year round: optimised exposure, superior insulation, out-of-sight patios and private gardens that open onto a developed area with a Provencal aromatic garden, etc.
Vert Eden is the result of successful cooperation between Bouygues Immobilier and the municipality of Aix-en-Provence.
