Located at 247 Avenue du Prado in Marseille, the future headquarters of Banque Populaire Provençale et Corse will house the bank's group-wide departments, which are currently split between premises on Boulevard Michelet and in the Roy d’Espagne district. "The new head office is representative of our aspirations, fuelled by the vitality of a group that is confident about both its future and the regional economy," said the Chairman of Banque Populaire Provençale et Corse.
Designed by Roland Carta, the "Pythéas Prado" complex has been structured so that its lines and spaces fall into place as harmoniously as possible with the existing row of buildings on the prestigious Avenue du Prado.
Featuring a double-skin metallic façade, this large-scale project, which has a surface area of
11,300 m² (including 7,600 m² of office space), will be comprised of two buildings: a nine-storey building on the Avenue du Prado and a six-storey building set at a right angle. The two buildings are linked by a landscaped area housing a Japanese garden and a free-standing 250-seat auditorium. The complex will also have a staff canteen seating 150 and a 240-space car park.
The property, which meets the requirements of HQE® (High Environmental Quality) certification and BBC-effinergie® low-energy standards, will be exemplary in terms of environmental performance. "Bouygues Immobilier is proud to develop the first commercial property in Marseille that complies with 2012 thermal regulations," stated Eric Mazoyer, Deputy CEO of Bouygues Immobilier.
"Pythéas Prado" is scheduled to open its doors on the Avenue du Prado in late 2014.
