The new offices, located in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, will accommodate staff from the Clarins group.
Designed by architects Valode & Pistre, the building is distinguished by its highly original façade whose touches of white, red, and gold evoke the company’s brand identity. The entrance is surmounted by a red square that rises up four storeys. The central stairs are supported by a seven-storey-high glass wall screen – printed with patterns by Cyprien Chabert. The wall was manufactured and installed by
Guillaume Saalsburg from Techniques Transparentes.
In keeping with the values of Clarins group, the building uses technology to assist in environmental performance while ensuring an optimal degree of comfort to occupants through a host of different fittings, namely:
- an automatic lighting management system that factors in the amount of natural light and the level of occupancy of the premises,
- motor-operated blinds,
- rooftop photovoltaic and thermal solar panels,
- a chilled-beam heating and air-conditioning system,
- heat recovery in air-handling units,
- recovery of rainwater for watering grounds.
This development boasts strong environmental credentials, having obtained BBC-effinergie® certification. It is also certified Breeam Very Good and NF Bâtiments Tertiaires–Démarche HQE®.
The building is part of a larger complex comprising a four-star Marriott hotel, a gymnasium and a 56-room student residence. Construction work is being carried out by Bouygues Bâtiment.
