Sanofi Campus Val de Bièvre focuses on sustainable development and innovation in the interest of the well-being of its 3,000 occupants. The three buildings – ranging from three to six storeys, with terraced setbacks – offer total floor space of 51,000 m². The campus is built around an openly accessible green space that retraces the original course of the Bièvre river. The centrepiece of this haven of tranquillity is a large decorative pond, crossed by a pontoon. Running alongside the garden, a glass-enclosed thoroughfare interlinks the buildings. The operation, which is emblematic of the Rehagreen® approach for enhancing the value of buildings, focuses on the well-being and comfort of users. In addition to being connected to the Municipality of Gentilly’s ground-source district heating system, the complex comprises a photovoltaic power plant, thermal solar panels, and a rainwater harvesting system for watering gardens and rooftop plants. This ‘urban campus’ has been certified against the HQE® “Passeport Exceptionnel” environmental standard and is aiming for Breeam certification at the Very Good level.
The Sanofi Val de Bièvre Campus complex, designed by Valode & Pistre Architectes and owned by health insurer MACSF, offers a working environment that is dynamic, fluid and collaborative – comprising ground-floor common areas, a fitness centre, health bays, training centres and auditoriums – together with modular work spaces.
Eric Mazoyer, Deputy CEO of Bouygues Immobilier, had the following to say: “We are proud of winning this accolade. It singles out the exemplary teamwork of the Gentilly municipality, Sanofi, MACSF and Bouygues Immobilier in redeveloping this existing office space, which is one of our core business lines.”
