Bouygues Immobilier is the first developer to be certified ISO 9001 in France, NF Habitat HQE, and Top Employer France 2017, and to win the 2016 prize for the best customer relations awarded by the French Customer Relations Association (AFRC).
Mecenova awards are handed out annually by IMS-Entreprendre pour la Cité to companies that have found innovative ways of involving their employees in charity work. For Bouygues Immobilier's corporate foundation, one of whose goals is promoting community action, especially strengthening the social fabric of local communities, this award marks the success of its partnership with the Médiaterre project of Unis-Cité (a non-profit organisation that pioneered voluntary community service in France) since its inception in 2010.
Médiaterre sends volunteers into deprived neighbourhoods to raise awareness about eco-gestures. Volunteers support families over a period of six to nine months. The amount of money saved on water and electricity bills is then measured so that those families participating can understand the real benefits of their actions.
Since 2010, more than 40 Bouygues Immobilier employees have taken part in the project by holding awareness-raising sessions for volunteers about the performance of low-energy buildings
(BBC-effinergie® label), organising worksite visits, putting on one-day conferences to present
Bouygues Immobilier's lines of business, and advising volunteers on future career options. The contribution of these employees, who gain on a personal level as well as having a chance to make a difference in society and work hand in hand with charity workers, is recognised in the context of annual staff appraisals.
In 2013, the corporate foundation will be participating in the Médiaterre project in eight geographical areas: Bordeaux, Grenoble, Lille, Lyon, Nantes, Marseille, Strasbourg, Toulouse along with the Val d’Oise and Seine-Saint-Denis departments.
