Bouygues Immobilier has a strong commitment to innovation and sustainable development and therefore seeks to provide better quality of life over the long term for all its customers by making their experience of the buying process and the use they make of the living spaces and services created for them as pleasant as possible. Bouygues Immobilier is the first developer to be certified ISO 9001 in France, NF Habitat HQE, and Top Employer France 2017, and to win the 2016 prize for the best customer relations awarded by the French Customer Relations Association (AFRC).
On 8 April 2011, all offices of Bouygues Immobilier in France along with the company's Belgian subsidiary pooled their expertise and energy to give a day of volunteer service to help others.
The initiative, named "Solid’R" (which in French means to offer one's support), provided direct assistance to 49 associations and public-private partnerships all over France.
Instead of a normal day at work, Bouygues Immobilier released some 1,200 staff volunteers to offer practical assistance to 49 humanitarian, environmental and civic projects, as a way of strengthening ties between local offices of Bouygues Immobilier and beneficiary associations such as Les Restos du Cœur, Emmaüs and Les Petits Frères des Pauvres.
Assignments included compiling an inventory of public places accessible to persons with reduced mobility, repainting association premises, jointly hosting workshops with the partially sighted or in retirement homes, gardening, sorting and recycling donated objects, and collecting waste in natural areas. A wide array of services were offered to 49 local associations.
This community action day was planned with the help of Unis-Cité, a non-profit association independent of all political and religious affiliation. Unis-Cité is a mainstay in the organisation of voluntary community service in France. Its role in the implementation of "Solid’R" was to liaise with local associations and handle overall coordination so that all of Bouygues Immobilier's efforts could, for one whole day, be focused on offering real, practical help.
Staff at Bouygues Immobilier responded enthusiastically to the invitation. In total, over 82% of staff, or some 1,200 employees, signed up for the “Solid’R” action day on 8 April. In the words of François Bertière, Chairman and CEO of Bouygues Immobilier, "This large-scale community initiative dovetails perfectly with the long-standing corporate social responsibility policy in force at Bouygues Immobilier. This massive wave of staff volunteering gives grounds for proud satisfaction."
