Rueil-Malmaison (France), 22 May 2012 – Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management, and Bouygues Immobilier, a leading private property developer in France and Europe, announce the creation of a joint venture called Aveltys. The objective of this joint venture is to offer property investors a service that designs and implements guaranteed Energy Performance Contracts for new and existing office properties in France.
Aveltys aims to be an expert in energy performance and enhancing commercial property assets in France by combining the recognised expertise of Bouygues Immobilier in the design and development of high energy performance properties and of Schneider Electric in energy management and energy optimisation solutions. It will therefore be able to offer investors an opportunity to grow and perpetuate the green value of their property assets.
"Via Aveltys, we are approaching the guaranteed energy performance for commercial properties market in an original and innovative way. This market accounts for nearly 15% of final energy consumption in France, says Guy Dufraisse, President of Schneider Electric France. For the first time, one single company will be able to offer its customers solutions and services that are able to guarantee the integrated energy performance of a building, at any moment of its life, especially from its design phase. I am very happy that Schneider Electric is teaming up with Bouygues Immobilier in order to pioneer this new type of service."
"With Aveltys, we are bolstering our commitment to our high energy performance property offers (Green Office®, Rehagreen®) and are providing a complementary service for our customers' property assets", says Eric Mazoyer, Deputy CEO of Bouygues Immobilier.
Aveltys will draw on the good fit between the skills of Schneider Electric and Bouygues Immobilier in order to offer innovative solutions to prospective clients."
Aveltys is 51%-owned by Schneider Electric and 49%-owned by Bouygues Immobilier. The company, based in Rueil-Malmaison (France), will be headed by Benoît Glikmanas (a graduate of Mines and INSEAD), who has several years experience in energy performance services at Schneider Electric.
