Through Bouygues Immobilier, Banque Populaire Provençale et Corse (BPPC) was able to purchase one of the last plots available on Avenue du Prado in Marseille's 8tharrondissement.
An office building of over 11,300 m² will rise up at this prestigious address where BPPC, sole investor, will have exclusive use.
The contract was signed in mid-2011, with works scheduled to begin in October 2012. The new BPPC headquarters building has a T-shape design. It will comprise a main 8-storey section overlooking Avenue du Prado and a 5-storey tiered wing will form the T-bar at the back.
The building will accommodate some 500 employees in optimal conditions of comfort. They will benefit from several amenities including a 250-seat auditorium, a staff canteen (130 seats), a 237-space car park and a bank branch.
Designed by Roland Carta for C+T Architectures, the building boasts a contemporary, bold architectural style. The building will be built to meet very demanding energy performance requirements and will have BBC-effinergie® low-energy certification.
The future headquarters building of Banque Populaire Provençale et Corse is underway on Avenue du Prado, in the heart of the 8tharrondissement of Marseille.
This huge avenue – one of the longest, widest and most renowned in Marseille – is made up of two perpendicular stretches. The Avenue is home to several luxury residential blocks, offices and banks. There are also many shops and a market on Thursday and Saturday mornings.
The Avenue has become a pleasant place for a stroll from Place Castellane to Prado beach, thanks to the wide paths lined with shops.
The Avenue is on a metro line and on numerous bus lines operated by Régie des Transports de Marseille. The Rond-Point du Prado bus stop is the terminus of several other bus routes.
