With the Reflets du Drac development, Urbiparc, a Bouygues Immobilier subsidiary, has underlined its sustainable development know-how in the commercial property segment. The architect Jacques Ferrier has successfully transformed each aspect of energy performance into an essential architectural detail. For example:
- gold mesh provides external thermal insulation and gives the project its visual identity,
- the building's photovoltaic panels gracefully continue the line of the façade.
The overall form of the buildings has been designed to make the inside space as modular as possible. In doing so, Urbiparc has taken account of demands from companies wishing to arrange their work space to suit their particular needs. Rebecca Plisson, the interior designer, has combined the challenge of flexibility with subtle ergonomics and the discreet elegance of each work space.
50% more energy-efficient than the requirement under the prevailing 2005 Thermal Regulations, Les Reflets du Drac is one of the first low-energy buildings of comparable size in France. Efficient insulation, controlled energy consumption and use of the site's natural assets (water, sun) enable the project to meet HQE® standards while significantly reducing operating costs.
Gold mesh on the façade, acting as both sunshade and thermal insulation
Green roof to improve insulation, thermal inertia and rainwater retention
800 m² photovoltaic power plant
Oriel box windows to prevent noise reverberation and optimise acoustic comfort while enlivening the façade
Geothermal heating and cooling
Optimum natural light and economical management of electric light (auto dimming motion sensors)
Infrared sensors for taps on washroom hand basins
Optimised waste management and waste sortingv
