Since 1 January 2016, and for a period of three years, for every home sold a tree will be planted as part of the “Alto Huayabamba” reforestation and economic development project in Peru. For every tree that is planted, the buyer will receive a certificate of confirmation via e-mail (buyers of individual homes only). Supported by our partner, Pur Projet1, this initiative makes a positive voluntary contribution to the fight against global warming, and complements the efforts already made by Bouygues Immobilier to reduce the environmental impact of its developments.
Christelle Capdupuy and Guillaume Jamet from the Sustainable Development department explain: “a few weeks after COP21, Bouygues Immobilier made a firm commitment to playing a role in efforts to limit the consequences of global warming. Beyond raising awareness among our customers, “One tree, one home” is a genuine corporate project in the wider sense, in which every employee can help to place environmental issues at the heart of our company culture.”
With the residential and commercial property sector forming a crucial part of the transition to a low-carbon economic model, the “One tree, one home” project offers a clear response to the environmental impact of our activities.
1Founded in 2008 by Tristan Lecomte, Pur Projet specialises in helping companies to put climate-related issues at the heart of their rationale and activities, primarily via regeneration and ecosystem preservation (agroforestry, reforestation and forest conservation).
