Bouygues Immobilier decides to extend BBC-Effinergie® low energy certification to all its new residential property programmes.
The head office of Banque Postale , in Paris is opened. This is the first project to be carried out under the Rehagreen® initiative, launched in 2009 by Bouygues Immobilier. Its aim is to enhance the value of existing office properties via an energy diagnosis, then rehabilitation.
At the same time, a 2nd Green Office® is designed for Nanterre, just west of Paris. Christened Spring, it enables Bouygues Immobilier to be the 1st property developer in the world to obtain BREEAM International "outstanding" certification.
Bouygues Immobilier applies its sustainable development approach to its retail parks: for example, the one at Orange les Vignes, opened in 2010, includes the biggest photovoltaic power plant incorporated into a public building in Europe.
The Bouygues Immobilier Corporate Foundation becomes a partner of the Mediaterre project in two cities in France, Nantes and Lille. Created by Unis-Cité, this initiative is aimed at raising awareness of daily eco-gestures among families from disadvantaged neighbourhoods, particularly helping them to reduce their electricity bills.
In the same year, it renews its corporate sponsorship agreement for another three years with la Cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine, thus helping it to strengthen its membership of the club of founder-partners.
